I began painting after a 25 year hiatus during which I made a career in
woodworking and art furniture. Having grown up in Baltimore, I have spent
the last twelve years in Provincetown, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, and
Taos, New Mexico.
My paintings are an exploration of line, the figure, of light and of place,
Sometimes abstract other times referencing known imagery, the paintings are
a bridging of the invisible world with the visible world, through paint.
The fields of the body, movement, stillness and states of consciousness.
This work represents a re-emergence of myself as a painter – and an
emotional link to bringing forward the experiences of the inner being through
the phenomena of the human body, the earth, and the soul’s landscape.
